Ride the Heart-Pumping Roller Coasters at Dreamworld
Dreamworld is not just any theme park, it is the LARGEST in Australia! For some of the most spine-tingling and thrilling scream rides offering around 30 rides suitable for most ages. In addition to being a theme park, Dreamworld is also a wildlife conservation park. They house and support the protection for over 500 animals. If amusement parks are your jam, then Dreamworld needs to be on your must-do list for your visit to Australia.
Immerse Yourself in Movieworld
Built around motion picture and superhero themes, Movieworld houses thrilling rides including the looping Superman Escape roller coaster, head-spinning Lethal Weapon ride and the steepest inverted drops Green Lantern Coaster. It is also home to active Movie studios, where newest blockbuster Aquaman as well as Thor, Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales and many more amazing films being made here. The atmosphere is Disney-like, with movie characters roaming the theme park.
Meet the Marine Animals at Sea World
From fun kid-friendly rides, interactive shows with their favourite television characters and of course, incredible wildlife encounters, Sea World has aspects to appeal to all age groups. Even though it has animal exhibits and other attractions, Sea World endorses preservation not only through education but also with the rescue and rehabilitation of sick, injured or orphaned wildlife. It also has the license to Nickelodeon, so children will love meeting the Paw Patrol characters, Sponge Bob and TMNT!
Witness a Festival at Surfers Paradise
A touristy as it sounds, you must not miss a trip down to Surfers Paradise despite being the most touristy seaside resort. It is walking distance from all of the main accommodations, restaurants, and shopping malls. There is a popular Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets that are held there several evenings a week. Throughout the year, there are numerous festivals held on the beach such as Surfers Paradise Sand Safari Arts Festival in February.
Hug a Koala at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary houses koalas and other native wildlife in their natural habitat. It is well-known for the Free-Flight bird show where the audience can see the incredible birds flying freely against the sanctuary’s natural environment. The sanctuary is huge, with lots of shady trees which host of adventurous activities like the Tree-Top Challenge High Ropes Course. This wildlife park on the Gold Coast can get very busy, so I recommend going there early in the morning to avoid long queues.
Experience Farmstay at Paradise Country

Get up-close and personal with their gorgeous wildlife by booking an animal encounter or check out the free daily shows on offer and then explore the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, the busiest wildlife hospital of its kind in the world. Australia Zoo is probably the most interactive conservation destination on the planet!
Go on a Day-trip to Brisbane
Capital of Queensland, Brisbane is a cosmopolitan hub for arts, culture and dining but still retains a close connection with nature and a classic laid-back Queensland attitude. The trip time for the train from Surfers Paradise to Brisbane city is almost 2-hours. Start your day early to enjoy the beautiful city.
